Isidor Buchmann is the founder and CEO of Cadex Electronics Inc. For three decades, Buchmann has studied the behavior of rechargeable batteries in practical, everyday applications, has written award-winning articles including the best-selling book “Batteries in a Portable World,” which is now in its fourth edition, and has spoken at conferences around the world. Buchmann is also the author of www.BatteryUniversity.com, an educational information website that provides practical information on batteries for the busy professionals design engineer, student and everyday battery users.

Mr. Braich is responsible for accounting operations, HR, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls at Cadex Electronics. Braich co-developed a program-based financial model that is currently in effect at Cadex. Braich holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, as well as a designation as a CPA from Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, with 4 years of Public Accounting experience before joining Cadex.

Mr. Kapri manages Business and Product Development. With 20 years of experience in high-tech engineering and contract manufacturing, Kapri is responsible for IP, design, Product Management and Customer Relations. Prior to Cadex, he co-founded and managed the Operation and Product Development at Navigate Surgical Technologies, a medical device start-up based in Vancouver. Kapri holds a degree in mechanical engineering.

Mrs. Shoa leads Research activities at Cadex. She has 12 years of research experience at both academia and industry. Prior to joining Cadex, she was a Research Scientist at Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation (AFCC). Mrs. Shoa received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. She also holds Engineering Management sub-specialization degree from UBC. Dr. Shoa is responsible for leading the Research team and exploring cutting edge technologies for developing new products.

Mr. Funk is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in developing and marketing world class products. Prior to joining Cadex he was Vice President of Business Development and a founding member of Sierra Wireless. He received his B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and has worked for Motorola, McDonald Dettwiler and Mobile Data International in a variety of engineering and product development roles. Mr. Funk is responsible for all product planning and management activities within Cadex.

Tim Zhang is a results-driven operations leader with over two decades of experience optimizing global supply chains, manufacturing processes, and quality systems. Tim has led major operational transformations in highly regulated industries, improving efficiency, modernizing production, and ensuring top-tier product quality. Before joining Cadex, Tim held senior leadership roles at Procter & Gamble and Nippon Lens Industrial Co., where he built resilient, high-performing teams and drove strategic improvements across multiple business functions. As Director of Operations at Cadex, Tim is focused on enhancing operational efficiency, scaling production capabilities, and delivering exceptional value to customers.

Mr. Rahim leads the Cadex Spectro Business Unit and is responsible for building strategic partnerships in the transportation sector with vehicle manufacturers and service providers. A seasoned veteran of leading international, industry-first product launches, Rahim brings over 20 years of experience in defense, medical, telecom, IT, industrial controls and wireless industries. His previous roles include Vice-President of Sales at Avenview, and Director of Channel Sales at Icron Technologies, Business Manager at Group Telecom and GEAC Canada, and Field Engineer at GEAC.

Paul Buchmann is an Executive Director with over 25 years of experience managing, owning, and operating ventures in technology, real estate, and steel fabrication. Having worked at Cadex earlier in his career, he brings a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs to the organization. At Cadex, Paul continues to oversee business operations, collaborating closely with the Senior Management team to ensure innovation and long-term stability.

Robert Buchmann brings nearly two decades of experience to Cadex as an Executive Director. With both an MBA and Mechanical Engineering degree, he brings experience successfully managing large business operations. Robert has first-hand experience at Cadex working on product development, gaining a strong understanding of battery technology while interfacing with customers. As Executive Director he collaborates closely with the Senior Management team to drive innovation and sustain long-term growth.

Tommy Buchmann is an Executive Director and Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience in real estate operations, local government management, and engineering consulting. Early in his career, he gained valuable experience at Cadex in Production. Now, Tommy combines his operational expertise and technical knowledge to work closely with the Senior Management team, driving growth and innovation.
