Core Features

State of Health (SoH) Light
Inserting a battery with sufficient capacity shows a green SoH Light on the charger; falling short calls for calibration with orange.

Target Selector
Adjustable by PC:
85-90%: Critical mission -- Fewer batteries pass
80%: Default setting -- Average setting
60-70%: Relaxed duty -- Batteries serve longer

Fishbowl
Connecting to a PC shows battery state-of-functions. The outer ring reveals battery state-of-charge. The black ceiling tracks capacity fade against the red line. Touching the Dome displays battery data.

CadexCloud
The PC stores battery history to track performance for user and fleet supervisors.
Charger works in standalone mode and with a PC
Added Features
The USC works in standalone mode and displays battery data on a PC. Cloud Analytics records battery data in the CadexCloud.
- Hybrid Function: Services regular and smart batteries side-by-side.
- Open platform: Battery adapters avoid obsolescence.
- Target Selector: Passes batteries of calls for calibration on 'digital capacity'
- Calibration: In-system calibration harmonizes with Target Selector.
- AirShip discharges Li-ion to 30% to meet shipping regulations
- Storage prolongs battery life to get optimum state-of-charge conditions
- Redundancy: Completes charge if communication fails.
- Range: Charges lithium and nickel-based batteries; 25W and 50W; 15V nominal
- Programs: AirShip brings Li-ion to 30% SoC; Storage prolongs battery life.
- AC/DC Input : Dual supply with buck boost to operate in vehicles.
- Cloud Analytics: Shows battery performance on PC; stores data in CadexCloud.

Systems for Any Workflow Applications
Standalone
Inserting a battery, the Target Selector illuminates a green SoH Light when meeting capacity. Amber calls for calibration or replacement as capacity does not recover. Calibration is done in-unit.
Programs: Charge, Calibration, Storage, AirShip

Local System
The PC reveals battery status by Fishbowl. Leftover Charge should be 10 to 20%; a margin can be set with the Target Selector.
PC connection is limited to available USB ports. Cloud Analytics is free but CadexCloud storing battery data is by subscription.

Fleet Manager
Internet connection serves an unlimited number of batteries with shared viewing.
Internet service is reserved for the USC-6 and battery analyzers. Viewing battery state-of-health (SoH) is reserved for smart batteries.
Diagnostic features enable full battery usage with call to replace before failure.
The Universal Supervisor Charger (USC) works in Standalone Mode, serves as a Local System, and extends into a Fleet Manager.

Industry Applications

Battery Adapters
The USC uses field-replaceable battery adapters for side-by-side charging of lithium-ion and nickel-based batteries. We design custom battery adapters for Defense, Healthcare, Public Safety, and Logistics. Larger batteries connect by cables with custom jacks. |

Batch Test services up to 120 batteries
Batch Test
A Plug-and-Play Solution
Batch Test advances the USC to a cost-effective Battery Test System serving up to 120 batteries simultaneously. The chargers can be set to Charge, Calibration, Storage or AirShip programs.
Assists battery logistics with these functions:
- Provides quality control and performance validations
- Prepares batteries for AirShip and long-term storage
- Performs in-unit calibration with capacity check
- Needs minimal user-interaction; operates remotely

USC tests batteries in 30 seconds before engagement

Inserting a battery with CadexCloud provides full battery history with estimation of remaining useful battery life.
Validation Test
Assurance for Field Performance
Custom battery adapters enable easy rapid-testing, governed by the Target Selector. Each insertion records battery performance in the CadexCloud for viewing by users.
Applications:
- Defense
- Healthcare
- Logistics
- Service Centers
- Public Safety
- Mining
- Rentals

Configurable charger module (51x90x32 mm)
Charger Module (Butterfly)
A Ready-Made Building Block
The Butterfly provides a low-cost solution for device manufacturer requiring a diagnostic charger. We assist with these applications.
Butterfly installed in custom housings
We provide Master Controllers for two and six-bay chargers.
Butterfly installed in device
With firmware driver, battery state-of-function can be shown on the device display.
Features
- Charges regular and smart batteries; SMBus and DQ
- Offers Calibration, AirShip, and Storage programs
- Charges Li-ion and NiMH up to 15V; 5A and 50W
